Business Analysis

Business analysis is the discipline of identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems.
IT vendors offer business analysis of a customer’s data needs and business processes; their staff will prepare a data model, document business processes, and provide a report of findings, customer requirements, and recommendations. Solutions often include a systems development component, but also may consist of process improvement, organizational change, strategic planning, and policy development. Systems development is the act of translating user requirements into information systems.
